- Task Force on Integrating Theory and Practice
- What: The Section's task Force on Integrating Theory into Clinical Practice is producing a series of videotapes demonstrating theory as applied in clinical practice.
- Why: The Neurology Section is actively working toward its goal of developing evidence-based practice in neurologic physical therapy. This videotape series will be a collection of examples of physical therapists applying theoretical constructs in a single or progression of several client sessions. The series will be organized by the functional limitation exhibited by the client and the level of expertise required by the therapist.
- Who: You! The task force needs you or someone you know to send examples of when theory has been applied in treatment sessions with patients.
- How: contact Mike Struder by email or phone (215)499-1246 for details.
- Other folks: Karen McCulloch, Chair, Task Force on Integrating Theory into Practice

Section to award a third Adopt-A-Doc Scholarship annually
- MaryLou Barnes, EdD, PT has challenged the Section to provide a third Adopt-A-Doc award annually as she handed a one dollar bill to Sue Whitney, Section President. She agreed to write a $10,000 check for the award this year if the section continues the award annually. The Adopt-A-Doc awards are given annually to physical therapists pursuing doctoral degrees in preparation for becoming faculty members. The first award was given in 1993, and the Section has awarded seven $10,000 awards since.

Sponsor a Neuro Section Team!
Teams are getting together to ride for Multiple Sclerosis...
The MS 150 is a two-day 150 mile bike ride to help find a cure, improve treatment, and develop a prevention for Multiple Sclerosis. The rides happen all over the country. They're not hard. Just get together a Neurology Section team and sign up. With the Section's assistance, you and the team will help the MS Society help those individuals with Multiple Sclerosis.
If your Neuro Section team rides, the Section will help you. This is a great way to let others know that the Neurology Section is actively involved in working with individuals with MS, educating future therapists regarding MS, and helping to find the best interventions.
For the nearest MS 150, contact the National MS Society at:
